Is the FSD (Full Self-Driving) surcharge worth it, or is the standard Autopilot enough?
For the vast majority of Reddit users, the standard, free basic Autopilot (lane keeping + adaptive cruise control) is completely sufficient on the motorway and massively reduces driving stress. The expensive “Full Self-Driving” surcharge (or the monthly subscription) is often criticised on Reddit, as the system (especially outside the USA) does not yet run flawlessly and requires too many interventions in everyday use.
