How well does everyday life work without the classic stalks on the newer facelift (Highland)?

The removal of the stalks for indicators and gear selection on the newer model is debated extremely heatedly on Reddit. While shifting via the screen when parking or turning becomes second nature after a few days, indicating via steering-wheel button remains hard to get used to, especially in roundabouts (when the steering wheel is upside down). The majority of owners do get used to it after a few weeks, but many would bring the classic stalks back immediately via retrofit kit if they had the choice.
