Demand Picks Up: Tesla Celebrates a Comeback in Europe

The tide seems to be turning: after a period of declining sales, several media outlets are reporting a marked pickup in demand for Tesla vehicles. In Europe, the brand is managing to reverse the trend, while two established VW models are losing ground in the electric ranking. Among the reasons cited are attractive prices, the revamped Model Y, and a compelling overall package of range, charging infrastructure, and price. Added to this is the company's continued high manufacturing efficiency, producing large volumes at comparatively low costs. The mood among many buyers has apparently also shifted back in favor of the US manufacturer — above all because the political controversies surrounding Elon Musk seem to have faded into obscurity. Whether the upswing is sustainable remains to be seen — competition from Europe and China continues to grow and is increasingly pushing into Tesla's traditional segments.
