Tesla ramps up in Europe – but loses ground in the used-car market
A trend reversal is emerging in European new electric car registrations: Tesla is working its way back to the front, while two VW models are losing ground. At the top of the ranking in May is the Model Y. The picture looks different in the used car market. In Germany, Tesla has forfeited its leading position here, in part because the growing supply and price movements are putting pressure on residual values. For buyers, this means lower entry prices; for owners, on the other hand, it means a steeper loss in value.
